The Awakened is an adventure game developed by Frogwares. This title is the third in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes series made by Frogwares. This time the plot takes Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson to investigate a series of mysterious deaths which are in some way connected to the Cthulhu Mythos.
The character created by the British author, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is the protagonist of this impressive adventure game unlike many others, as it invites you to live in a disturbing first-person story.
Mysterious disappearances, terrible sacrifices, dark scenarios... A challenge that reflects the struggle between wisdom and rationality of Holmes and the supernatural powers of the Cthulhu god, the myth created by one of the masters of fantasy literature: H.P. Lovecraft.
Your mission, as Holmes will be to investigate and collect hundreds of clues, talk to many people -over 60 different persons- from whom you will get information about your inquiries and deduce the solution to the enigma of the cult of worshipping the God of the depths.
The game uses an advanced graphics engine that you'll enjoy while touring with Dr. Watson different locations in England, Switzerland, the United States and Scotland in search for clues. An adventure that you can not stop playing. |
